Round & Slimline Tanks: The round tanks can go on either concrete or sand, however the slimlines should be put onto a concrete base. The warranty for these tanks is 10 years. Transporting water in water tanks voids the warranty. The warranty is also void if unauthorised modifications are made to the tank. Aqua Down Tanks: Under deck tanks can go on either a concrete or a sand base. The warranty for these tanks is 10 years. Transporting water in water tanks voids the warranty. The warranty is also void if unauthorised modifications are made to the tank. Aquavate Tanks: The Aquavate range can go on either sand or concrete, but for the pots and stands Bailey Rotomould recommends that they go onto a concrete base only. The warranty for this range is 5 years. AquaTrack Tanks: Bailey Rotomould aquatracks have a warranty of 12 months. PumpHuts & Tap Posts: The PumpHuts and Tap Posts have a warranty of 6 month Installation & Site Access . Site Access: Bailey Rotomould delivery vehicles may be 19 metres in length, 3m wide and 4.5m tall, customer must check access, otherwise tanks will be left in nearest practical position at driver?s discretion. Bailey Rotomould recommends tanks are immediately filled with water to the bottom of the lowest outlet, or otherwise restrained to prevent the tank blowing away under high winds. Tank Site: Tank site must be flat, level and smooth. Concrete, compacted sand or similar fill is ideal. Sand or fill must be boxed to prevent washing away. We recommend for the 700Lt, 700Lt Tank Adders and all Slimline tanks that they be installed on a concrete reinforced base. The proposed tank site must be at least 100mm larger in width and in length to the footprint of the tank. Tank stands may be used, however stands must be strong enough to support tank without deflection when full and spacing between deck members must not exceed 25mm. Tanks are suitable for above ground installation only. To allow for expansion of tanks when full, round tanks should not be placed closer than 50mm from solid structure, slimline tanks require 50mm clearance. Tanks installed in buildings should be in a bunded area to prevent flooding in the advent of the inlet strainer becoming blocked or under heavy rain events. Tank installation should be made by a suitably qualified tradesperson or competent person according to the regulations applicable to local area. Tank Inlet: Inlet pipe diameter should not exceed the overflow pipe diameter to prevent water back flowing out of the strainer. Leave enough space between the end of the inlet pipe so that the strainer may be removed for cleaning. Tank Overflow: Fit the mozzie strainer to the overflow before connecting pipe work. Overflow must be directed clear of the tank base to prevent washing away of the base. Tank Outlets: A length of flexible hose needs to be installed to allow for movement. All pipe work needs to be fully supported, not reliant upon the tank for support. Multiple Tanks: Multiple tanks can be joined together using the bottom outlets. Valves can be fitted to each tank outlet so that tanks can be isolated, if required. |
